Educator, Medical Coding and Reimbursement
The Wisconsin Medical Society is the largest association of medical doctors in the state. Our Coding and Reimbursement Educator develops and presents programs in Medicare and Medicaid policy, third-party billing and related practice management seminars.
The position requires five years of coding/reimbursement experience in a health care setting and in-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and ICD-9 and -10. The successful applicant must become AHIMA credentialed with a strong orientation to electronic health records (EHRs). A bachelor’s degree in health care, IT or related equivalent experience is required; RN or CHC is preferred. The position also requires travel and excellent presentation and writing skills. We will consider telecommuters for this position.

This position designs operational data stores and processing engines for a healthcare data warehouse and plays a key role in development, implementation and support of new applications. Responsible for SQL server database admin in a 24x7 environment. Position requires SQL competence; data mart/warehouse and multi-dimensional data modeling; healthcare claims data analysis exp. Requires degree in computer science and minimum 3 years directly related experience in database development. Experience in membership association and/or iMIS preferred.
