Day-long festival focused on information, medical screenings, prevention
and self-care to underinsured and underserved populations.

Safe Ride Florist Program, $250
Violence prevention among elementary school children and a printed
note in prom corsages encouraging students not to drive if they
have consumed alcohol. A number for a safe ride is also included.

2005 Summer Fellowship in Government and Community Service
UW Medical Student William Kirke Rogers, $3,500
Rogers will be working with government groups to synthesize existing
resources and to develop concise informational material to help
senior citizens better prepare for their doctor's appointments.
UW Department of Family Medicine Leadership Opportunities
with Communities, the Underserved and Special Populations (LOCUS)
Leadership Retreat, $1,500
A leadership retreat for medical students who wish to continue or
initiate involvement in community health activities.
Wisconsin Medical Society Physicians Health Program
Physician Health Program for Medical Students, $20,000 (two-year
project)
Reduce the incidence of physician impairment by providing education
on the spectrum of physician health issues earlier in the process
of achieving a career in medicine.
