2007 Foundation Annual Fundraising Event a Success
It's All About Incentives…
That was the message from Stephen Dubner, co-author of the international bestseller,
Freakonomics, at the Foundation's fundraising event held on April 26. Mr. Dubner guided the more than 400 guests through several entertaining examples of how actual data challenges conventional wisdom and suggests some very unexpected cause and effect relationships.
Thank you to all sponsors, attendees and those who participated in the silent auction and raffle. With your help, the event grossed over $125,000!
"The success of this event is critical to our ability to provide support for medical and health education in Wisconsin. We exceeded our overall goals for the evening, which will translate into increased funds for both scholarships and grants," explained Renee Reback, Executive Director. The Foundation will award over $60,000 in scholarships and over $70,000 in grants this year.
