Electronic Health


Electronic Health is a fast emerging area targeted for improving patient care and increasing clinic efficiency at both a state and national level. Governor Doyle established his E-Health Care Quality and Patient Safety Board in 2005 with the purpose of gaining statewide adoption and exchange of electronic health records within five years (2010).

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid is coordinating a five-year demonstration project that will encourage small to medium primary care practices in Wisconsin to use electronic health records to improve the quality of patient care.

The Society is poised to assist physician practices in their e-health understanding and optimization in the areas of e-prescribing, EMR/EHR functionality, patient registries and telehealth, to name a few. We will offer these resources through:
