The statement below is attributable to Wisconsin Medical Society President Noel Deep, MD, FACP

“Prior to today’s vote in the U.S. House of Representatives, the Wisconsin Medical Society raised concerns that the American Health Care Act would result in decreased coverage and affordability, leading to millions of uninsured.

“Those concerns remain, and as this bill moves to the Senate, we are committed to working with Senators Baldwin and Johnson to improve the legislation to ensure timely access to high-quality, affordable care that meets all patients’ needs.”

With more than 12,500 members dedicated to the best interests of their patients, the Wisconsin Medical Society is the largest association of medical doctors in the state and a trusted source for health policy leadership since 1841.
