• OUR MISSION

Improve the health of the people of Wisconsin by supporting and strengthening physicians' ability to practice high-quality patient care in a changing environment.

Opioid Education

In 2016, the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board (MEB) approved a rule requiring physicians with a DEA number to complete two CME credits on its Opioid Prescribing Guideline during both the 2016-2017 and 2018-2019 CME cycles. To comply help physicians comply with this rule, the Wisconsin Medical Society developed a series of on-demand webinars.

Presented by Wisconsin physicians who specialize in addiction and pain management, the webinars listed below are designed to address the challenges faced by physicians and other prescribers and to improve opioid prescribing practices without compromising the quality of patient care.

Each webinar has been approved by the MEB. Those marked with (*) are 2 hours long and fulfill the MEB educational requirement; the others vary in length and may be combined to meet the 2-hour threshold. All have been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ and maintenance of Certification Part II points for certain specialties.
