Performance Improvement

The Wisconsin Medical Society has a long history of being an accredited and recognized organization of the Accreditation Council of Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). In its accreditation role during recent years, the Society has developed and/or partnered on several Performance Improvement (PI) CME initiatives. These initiatives allow participating physicians (and members of their care team) to earn up to 20 credits of CME for completing a continuous improvement process/activity. Developed to be easily integrated in a practice’s daily workflow, many of these activities also are approved for Part IV maintenance of certification credit.
