Top-notch speakers addressed some of today’s most important health care issues during the Wisconsin Medical Society’s recent Medical Records & the Law seminar, which now is available online for purchase and on-demand viewing. The session on the new HIPAA rules presented by Sarah Coyne, JD, of Quarles & Brady, LLP, is especially valuable as the compliance date for the new rules – September 23 – quickly approaches.
Ms. Coyne also participated on the panel discussion about release of information, which was moderated by Tom Shorter, JD, of Godfrey & Kahn, SC. Other panelists were Peg Schmidt, RHIA, CHPS, of Aurora Health Care, and Kathy Schleis, RHIA, CHPS, of Bellin Hospital.
The educational session “The Fundamentals of Medical Records” presented by Jen Cohrs, CPC, CPMA, CGIC, the Society’s coding and reimbursement educator, also is available online through the Society’s Continuing Education Center.
Individual sessions may be purchased for $99 each, select any two sessions for $149 or choose all three sessions for $199. Click on the links below for more information about each of the sessions.
