• OUR MISSION

Improve the health of the people of Wisconsin by supporting and strengthening physicians' ability to practice high-quality patient care in a changing environment.

Register today for Doctor Day

The Wisconsin Medical Society and more than a dozen other organizations invite physicians across the state to Doctor Day 2014 in Madison on Wednesday, February 12. Participants will hear from three high-level speakers and take part in an issue briefing before meeting with state legislators and/or their staffs in the afternoon.

Gov. Scott Walker has been invited, and Ken Simons, MD, chair of the Medical Examining Board, and State Rep. Peter Barca, D-Kenosha, have confirmed that they will address participants during the morning session at the Overture Center. Following lunch, participants will head to the State Capitol for legislative meetings. The day will conclude with a reception in downtown Madison.

Staff members from the Society and other sponsoring organizations will provide physicians with information about key issues affecting the medical profession and will schedule legislative visits for physicians. Organizers hope to bring at least 200 physicians in their white coats to advocate on behalf of patients and the medical profession at the State Capitol on February 12.

Details, including a tentative schedule and sponsor list, are on the Society’s website. Click here to register via a short online form.
