Honoring Choices Wisconsin on WCHQ Assembly agenda

Wisconsin Medical Society staff members Tim Bartholow, MD, and John Maycroft, MPP, will introduce Honoring Choices Wisconsin to the Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality (WCHQ) during its Assembly meeting on Tuesday, January 8. The Society launched Honoring Choices Wisconsin, a major initiative to build system change, advocacy and education around advance care planning, in September 2012.

The 45-minute presentation about Honoring Choices Wisconsin is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Madison. The meeting begins at 11:15 a.m. with a presentation about the Choosing Wisely® campaign by Daniel Wolfson of the American Board of Internal Medicine Foundation.

At 1:45 p.m., Valerie Klitzke, MBA, and Lindsay Rosemeyer, RN, will discuss Meriter Hospital’s efforts to leverage the payment bundling process to engage and align its physician panel representing four separate organizations. The meeting will conclude with a presentation by Kate Willhite, MSOLQ, of Manitowoc Surgery Center/Orthopaedic Associates/Expert Therapy, who will discuss the organization’s participation in the Partnership for Healthcare Payment Reform initiative.

Additional meeting details, including the agenda and presentation materials, are available on the WCHQ website. There is no charge to participate via webinar; however, pre-registration is required.
