Wisconsin Medical Society member Richard Rieselbach, MD, received the Richard Neubauer Advocate for Internal Medicine Award from the American College of Physicians (ACP). Doctor Rieselbach was recognized for being “a tireless advocate for a number of causes, including the shortage of primary care physicians, support for the Affordable Care Act, and expanding Medicaid.”
The annual award is given to an ACP member who has made exceptional contributions to advance the organization’s public policy agenda. More information about the award is available on the ACP website.
As an ACP Advocate, Dr. Rieselbach communicates with members of Congress about issues of importance to internists and their patients and to medical students. He is professor emeritus at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
