Institute for Healthcare Improvement quality forum to be broadcast

Madison-based MetaStar again is hosting a satellite broadcast of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s (IHI) annual National Forum on Quality Improvement in Health Care. The broadcast will be offered at the Pyle Center on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, 702 Langdon St., on December 10 and 11.

Wisconsin Medical Society member and CEO of Gundersen Health System Jeffrey Thompson, MD, will participate in a panel discussion about environmental sustainability and the Triple Aim.

Donald Berwick, MD, MPP, president emeritus and senior fellow at IHI, will moderate the panel discussion, which also includes Blair Sadler of IHI, Gary Cohen of Health Care Without Harm and Robin Guenther of Perkins+Will Consulting Practice.

The cost to attend the broadcast is $95, and registration is required. The deadline to register is December 2; however, spots are limited so register early.

Because many of the presentation materials will not be available until just prior to the broadcast, or not at all, MetaStar encourages participants to print the presentations from the IHI website or bring a laptop to access the materials during the broadcast. Printed copies of the presentation materials will not be distributed to broadcast participants.

Continuing education credits will be available through IHI for those who attend the broadcast. Additional information is on the IHI website.

Questions about the broadcast may be directed to Liz Menzer at 608.274.1940 or via e-mail.
