Training for ACA Navigators, Application Counselors is next week

Two-day trainings for Navigators and Certified Application Counselors (CACs) with the Health Insurance Marketplace in Wisconsin will be held in Green Bay, La Crosse, Rice Lake, Racine and Menasha next week. The trainings are Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, and space still is available in Green Bay, La Crosse and Rice Lake.

Participants must attend and complete both days of training and stay for the entire day to receive a certificate of completion. Identification will be required at check-in. There is no cost to participate; however, online registration is required on the website for Wisconsin’s Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCI).

The two-day training is for individuals who plan to work as a Navigator or CAC with an organization that received a federal Navigator grant or an organization that is a federally designated CAC organization. All individuals completing the state Navigator/CAC training and planning to serve as a Navigator or CAC must receive a passing score on the state and federal examinations. The examination fee is $75.
