Council to address professional development

The Wisconsin Medical Society’s Council on Medical Education and Professional Development will meet November 5 in Madison to discuss policies and initiatives related to professional development and several other issues pertaining to accreditation and recognition.

The Society is accredited to provide continuing medical education to physicians by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). It also is a recognized entity of the ACCME to accredit organizations in Wisconsin to provide continuing medical education to physicians.

The Council meeting will be held prior to the Society’s annual CME provider education event, It’s Essential, on November 6.
