Friday is the early registration deadline for participants to save $50 on the webinar CPT Update 2014 – A Comprehensive Overview. Jen Cohrs, the Wisconsin Medical Society’s director of educational strategies, will provide an in-depth look at the 2014 Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code set during the two-hour webinar November 21.
According to the American Medical Association, there are more than 300 changes affecting the 2014 CPT code set. Most of these changes are in the following subsections: digestive system, molecular pathology, cardiovascular system, complex chronic care coordination services and transitional care management services.
Cohrs, the Wisconsin Medical Society’s director of educational strategies, will share the new and revised codes, rationales and guidelines as well as the associated relative value units beginning at 11:30 a.m. Discussion also will include documentation tips and important reimbursement information.
All physician office and clinic managers along with coding, billing and reimbursement professionals should participate in this webinar to ensure a smooth transition into 2014. The cost for participants who register today or tomorrow is $149; registrations placed November 2 or later are $199. Participants who complete the post-assessment are eligible for three continuing education units.
Additional information, including online registration, is available on the Society’s Continuing Education Center.
