Improve the health of the people of Wisconsin by supporting and strengthening physicians' ability to practice high-quality patient care in a changing environment.

New PQRS resources available from the Society, CMS

To ensure eligible professionals or group practices participating in Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) are prepared for the many important program changes and milestones in 2014, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has released a new fact sheet and an interactive timeline for the 2014 reporting year.

The fact sheet covers important PQRS changes, submission requirements, payment adjustments, new measures, group measures reporting, alignment of PQRS with ICD-10-CM codes, and other key information. The interactive timeline identifies key program dates between 2014 and 2016, and provides links to a number of related resources. For more information or support for PQRS, visit the PQRS website.

Additionally, on March 12, the Wisconsin Medical Society is offering Quality Reporting in 2014. This noon-hour webinar will focus on key deadlines physicians and clinics must meet to avoid penalties and earn incentives for the PQRS, electronic prescribing and other electronic health care incentive programs. Different methods for reporting measures, group vs. individual participation, and meaningful use of these programs also will be discussed. Click here for more information.
