Access to care in urban and rural Wisconsin on Council agenda

Urban and rural access to health care will be the featured topic of the Council on Access’s February 5 meeting. All Society members are welcome to attend or participate via telephone.

Byron Crouse, MD, Associate Dean for Rural and Community Health, will present to the Council. Chair Julie Schuller, MD, of 16th Street Clinic in Milwaukee, will lead the discussion. The Council will then review and update Society policy to improve access to care in Wisconsin’s underserved areas.

The Council also will receive an update on Affordable Care Act implementation and consider new policy affecting Wisconsin’s health insurance exchange.

The Council meets at 11 a.m. at the Society’s headquarters in Madison. Click here for more information. If you have questions or are interested in joining the discussion, e-mail Nikita Sessler in the Society’s Government Relations Department or call 866.442.3800.
