• OUR MISSION

Improve the health of the people of Wisconsin by supporting and strengthening physicians' ability to practice high-quality patient care in a changing environment.

Virtual Reference Committees available online for member comments

Caucus meetings are underway in the Society’s eight districts, but for members who aren’t able to attend their caucus meeting, there is another option for dialogue prior to Annual Meeting. Through the virtual reference committees (VRCs), Society members can access the resolutions submitted for consideration by the House of Delegates and submit comments.* More information about the VRCs, including instructions, is here.

The Society’s primary method of developing policies is through the House of Delegates (HOD). Policies adopted by the HOD guide the Society’s decisions and activities on a variety of health care issues. Resolutions submitted by Society members provide the framework for this policy development.

Comments may be submitted through VRCs until March 31. Resolutions and comments will remain viewable to members through the Annual Meeting, which is April 5-6 in Green Bay. Any member wishing to comment on a resolution after March 31 will be able to do so at the live Reference Committee hearings held Saturday, April 5. Comments made through VRCs will be reviewed by Reference Committee members along with testimony received at the traditional in-person Reference Committee hearings.
