Improve the health of the people of Wisconsin by supporting and strengthening physicians' ability to practice high-quality patient care in a changing environment.

‘Meaningful Use and Beyond’ focus of May 28 health IT conference

The Wisconsin Health Information Technology Extension Center (WHITEC) is sponsoring the third annual Wisconsin Health IT Conference Wednesday, May 28, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center in Madison.

The event—“Meaningful Use and Beyond”—will feature breakout sessions and two keynotes: “Joy in Practice: The Role of Health IT” presented by Christine A. Sinsky, MD, FACP, Medical Associates Clinic and Health Plans; and “Transforming Health Care with Metrics that Matter,” presented by Kenneth J. Abrams, MD, MBA, Deloitte Consulting.

The conference will provide an opportunity to network with health IT leaders and peers and gain insight from experts on meaningful use, practice redesign, and the Medicare and Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Programs. Participants will learn from organizations that are navigating through health IT issues and will leave with best practices and practical recommendations to address pressing issues in health IT.
