Council to continue infant mortality discussion, take on 2014 HOD resolutions

The Wisconsin Medical Society’s Council on Health Care Quality and Population Health will discuss the work of the Society’s Infant Mortality Task Force, in addition to a number of 2014 House of Delegates Resolutions at its Sept. 18 meeting.

The task force worked over the summer to develop a comprehensive infant and maternal wellness policy to combat the high rate and disparities of infant mortality in Wisconsin. The Council will discuss the work of the task force, along with other infant mortality projects in the state.

The Council also will take up three resolutions presented at the 2014 House of Delegates with the authors present. These resolutions focus on mind-body treatments, adverse child experiences and the victims of sex trafficking.

The Council meeting will begin at 1 p.m. at the Society’s headquarters in Madison. All Society members are welcome to attend. An agenda and meeting materials are available in the members-only section of the Society’s website*. E-mail Julie Wills or call her at 608.442.3843 for more information.
