In preparation for the Oct. 1, 2015, ICD-10 compliance date, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has designated three weeks for testing: Nov. 17-21, 2014, March 2-6, 2015, and June 1-5, 2015.
While ICD-10 test claims can be made at any time before the October 2015 implementation deadline, the testing weeks were created to foster awareness and interest and instill confidence in the health care community toward the ICD-10 transition, according to information published in MLN Matters.
