The outcome of the elections this November will impact the legislative environment in Wisconsin—and that’s exactly why now is the time to get involved in the Wisconsin Medical Society’s political programs.
Last week, the Society launched “Running with the PAC,” a campaign designed to take a healthy, positive approach to political fundraising. The goal of the campaign is to raise $25,000 in September. For every $500 contribution made to WISMedPAC or WISMedDIRECT this month, a member of the Society’s Government Relations team will run, walk or bike five miles. Click here to learn more.
So far this month, Society members have contributed $2,250, and Mark Grapentine, Chris Rasch and Heidi Green are pounding the pavement (or bike trails) to meet the challenge.
The 2013-2014 legislative biennium was undoubtedly one of the most positive for health care in recent decades, and in order to build on that success, it’s important to help elect candidates who listen to members AND understand the impact their decisions will have on health care in Wisconsin.
