The Wisconsin Medical Society’s Annual Meeting April 25-26 in Madison is just two weeks away, and the Society still has a few spots open for members to serve on House of Delegates (HOD) committees.
These committees include a credentials committee, a rules committee and three reference committees: Health Insurance Coverage/Access, Quality/Clinical Outcomes, and Organization and Finances. Members of each committee must be delegates or alternate delegates from their respective county medical society or specialty/special sections. More information is available in this Medigram article.
If you are interested in serving on a HOD committee, please e-mail Speaker of the House Charles Rainey, MD, JD.
Delegates also are reminded that registration is open for Physician Satisfaction: The Heart and Soul of the Profession—an educational opportunity being offered during the Annual Meeting from 2 to 6 p.m. on April 25.
The program, which has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™, will examine how Wisconsin physicians feel about their working lives and will explore ways to create healthier work environments and improved well-being. Speakers will present evidence, studies, strategies and tools on key issues affecting overall physician satisfaction and that potentially lead to occupational burnout. For more information, including speaker bios and the program agenda, is available via the Society’s Continuing Education Center.
Registration for delegates is complimentary; however, registration is required for all attendees as seating is limited. Delegates are asked to e-mail the Society’s Continuing Education Department by April 20 to receive special registration instructions. Other physicians interested in participating in the program may register online through the Society’s Continuing Education Center; special pricing is available for Society members.
