Seventh Circuit finds admitting privileges
requirement unconstitutional

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit filed a decision in Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, Inc. v. Schimel, et al., Nov. 23 affirming a federal district court’s decision that a law requiring physicians performing abortions in Wisconsin to have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles of where an abortion is performed is unconstitutional.
