Doctor Day 2015 organizers are nearing their goal of bringing together at least 250 physicians at the State Capitol, Wednesday, March 11. To date, over 220 physicians have signed up, and there’s still time to register.
Doctor Day is well-timed for Wisconsin physicians to meet with their legislators and have input on the state budget and other important health care issues. Attendees will hear from Gov. Scott Walker, as well as state Senators Leah Vukmir (R-Wauwatosa) and Jennifer Shilling (D-La Crosse) during the event’s morning session at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center. Sen. Shilling is the Senate Minority Leader and Sen. Vukmir is chair of the Senate Health Committee and sits on the Joint Finance Committee.
In the afternoon, participants will head to the Capitol for meetings with state legislators and/or their staffs. The all-day event will conclude with a reception in downtown Madison.
The Wisconsin Medical Society is once again partnering with several physician organizations and specialty societies to build on the success of last year’s event. Details, including a tentative schedule and sponsor list, are available on the Society’s website. To register, click here.
