Improve the health of the people of Wisconsin by supporting and strengthening physicians' ability to practice high-quality patient care in a changing environment.

2015 White Coat Campaign is underway; sponsors still needed

The White Coat Campaign, a long-standing tradition of the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation, offers an opportunity for physicians to connect with medical students entering the profession and offer words of wisdom. The campaign is progressing toward its goal, but sponsors are still needed for about 100 students.

With a gift of $75 per student, physicians can sponsor a student at random, or may choose to sponsor a specific student, such as a family member or family friend, or request to sponsor a student at Medical College of Wisconsin or the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. The Foundation will try to honor any requests.

For any questions about the 2015 White Coat Campaign or to participate, e-mail Heather Sonley, the Foundation’s outreach coordinator, or call her at 608.442.3756. Donations also can be made online. Enter the dollar amount next to “other amount” and choose “White Coat Campaign” in the “where your donation should go” field.

Students will receive their coats and notes at the 2015 White Coat Investiture ceremonies later this summer.
