Improve the health of the people of Wisconsin by supporting and strengthening physicians' ability to practice high-quality patient care in a changing environment.

MD and former Miss Wisconsin to emcee Foundation fundraising event

Tina Sauerhammer, MD, a former Miss Wisconsin and second runner-up for Miss America, will emcee the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation’s upcoming Fundraising Dinner and Silent Auction, April 24 at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center. A pediatric plastic surgeon at Prevea Health in Green Bay, Dr. Sauerhammer will introduce the evening’s guest speaker, Zubin Damania, MD, also known as ZDoggMD. During his 10-year hospitalist career at Stanford, Dr. Damania received the Russell Lee Award for Clinical Teaching, while also maintaining a shadow career creating YouTube music and TV parodies under the pseudonym ZDoggMD. At this event, he will use his unique style to speak to the serious issue of burnout among physicians and other health care professionals and how it affects patient care.

More than 500 health care and business leaders from across Wisconsin are expected for this event, which also includes a large silent auction and dinner. Individual tickets are $125 each, or you may host a table of eight as a sponsor. Sponsorship options are available online.

Event proceeds will support the Foundation’s medical education and health initiatives, including fellowships and grants that fund community health education and research projects.
