The Wisconsin Medical Society’s Council on Health Care Delivery, Access and Finance will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. at Society headquarters.
The Council will hear from Chris Rasch, the Society’s director of state and federal relations, regarding health care access issues in Wisconsin in a “state-of-the-state address.” His discussion will include updates on the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid enrollment, along with an overview of the budget changes for federally qualified health centers. He also will focus on health care cost trends and health care disparities throughout the state.
In addition, the Council will continue its discussion regarding the Society’s policy on underserved areas—specifically in rural Wisconsin—along with a review of Resolution 104: “Consumer Freedom,” adopted by the 2015 House of Delegates.
All Society members are welcome to attend the meeting. An agenda and meeting materials are available in the members-only section of the Society website*, or members may e-mail Casey Pieper in the Society’s Government and Legal Affairs Department or call her at 608.442.3843 for more information.
