Arnold’s Viste award donation featured on WEAU TV

Wisconsin Medical Society member Alicia C. Arnold, MD, was featured on WEAU-TV in Eau Claire earlier this month for a special donation made on her behalf to the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic.

A board-certified radiologist and a medical correspondent for WEAU, Dr. Arnold was named the 2016 recipient of the Kenneth M. Viste Jr., MD, Young Physician Leadership Award by the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation. In addition to an engraved award, the Foundation also gives $1,000 to a charity of the recipient’s choice. Doctor Arnold chose the clinic, which is located in Eau Claire, and serves patients who are underinsured or uninsured.

“The best part of this award to me came with the ability to make a $1,000 donation and I’ve selected the free clinic to receive this donation,” Arnold said.

Doctor Arnold will receive the Viste Award during the Society’s Annual Meeting April 2-3 in Madison. She will also serve as emcee at the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation’s Fundraising Dinner and Silent Auction on April 1. As emcee at the event, Dr. Arnold will introduce the featured speaker—also a past recipient of the Viste Award—Dipesh Navsaria, MD, MPH, MSLIS.
