Wisconsin Medical Society member Sridhar V. Vasudevan, MD, has been appointed by Gov. Scott Walker to a three-year term on the Injured Patients and Families Compensation Fund Board of Governors, effective May 1.
Doctor Vasudevan, of Belgium, Wisconsin is one of four “public” members of the 13-member Board. The rest of the Board is comprised of two members named by the Society; one member named by each of the following: the Wisconsin Hospital Association, the State Bar Association, and the Wisconsin Association for Justice (formerly the Wisconsin Academy of Trial Lawyers); and three insurance industry representatives appointed by the Commissioner of Insurance. Past Society President Robert Jaeger, MD, of Mosinee, and Wisconsin Medical Society Holdings President Linda Syth serve as the Society’s representatives.
In 2012, Dr. Vasudevan was appointed by Gov. Walker and approved by the State Senate to the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board. His term ends July 1.
