The Wisconsin Council on Medical Education and Workforce (WCMEW) is hosting a full-day conference addressing Wisconsin health workforce issues Wednesday, Sept. 27 in the Wisconsin Dells.
Topics for “The Future Landscape of Wisconsin’s Health Care Workforce” range from public policy to provider retention and training clinicians for evolving models of care delivery. The conference is designed to bring stakeholders from across Wisconsin’s business, government and nonprofit areas together to recognize the urgent demand for creative and cross-sector solutions to health workforce challenges.
Michael Munger, MD, president of the American Academy of Family Physicians, will give a keynote talk on the future of the health care workforce. The agenda also features panel discussions and breakout sessions, including a session presented by Wisconsin Medical Society member Heather Schmidt, DO, on the efforts of the Society’s Physician Experience Task Force.
