Society begins search for physician CEO

The search for the Wisconsin Medical Society’s next chief executive officer is underway. Efforts are focused on a physician leader with Wisconsin roots who has the vision and business savvy to lead the Society into the future. (Click here to read the position description.)

In accordance with the Society’s CEO succession plan, the search committee is being co-chaired by Jerry Halverson, MD, chair of the Society’s Board of Directors and Chris Augustian, chair of the Wisconsin Medical Society Holdings Corp. Board of Directors.

The Society has engaged Peggy Niemer, JD, MBA, CPXP, of the consulting firm Kenwood & Wells LLC, to assist in the search. Niemer served for many years as the vice president of Human Resources for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and has extensive experience hiring and onboarding health care executives.
