David Falk, MD, and his wife JoAnne Robbins, PhD, have teamed up with Clarence Chou, MD, to donate $10,000 to the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation and challenge others to collectively match their donation by December 31.
“This is OUR Foundation. My wife and I are both medical professionals—I’m a physician and JoAnne a PhD whose career involved research and patient care. We are joining Dr. Chou in encouraging our colleagues to give because Foundation programs support the education of medical professionals and efforts to enhance the health of the public at large,” said Dr. Falk. “Whether through scholarships for medical and nursing students, summer research fellowships for medical students, support for independent research initiatives statewide, books to preschoolers, gardens for elementary school students, access to physician specialists for uninsured, or access to health care for homeless individuals, Foundation initiatives mirror the ideals that compel JoAnne and me to provide ongoing financial support for OUR Foundation—the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation.”

- Provided funds to establish or expand more than 50 school and community gardens since 2012?
- Helped students fund their medical education with more than $700,000 in scholarships and student loans last year alone?
- Funded pilot programs in the last few years that have expanded to make a difference statewide on important topics including opioids, health literacy on safe medication use and sex-trafficking?
