The agenda for the Wisconsin Medical Society’s Council on Legislation quarterly meeting includes a preview of the upcoming 2019-2020 state biennial session, featuring a new Democratic executive branch and a Republican legislature. Topics include likely proactive legislation dealing with Assignment of Benefits, “red flag” firearms law and establishing a Physician Health Program at the state level. The Council will also review the Society’s marijuana-related policies for consistency and look at step therapy policy.
The meeting will take place at 1 p.m. tomorrow (December 14) at Society headquarters in Madison. The agenda and meeting materials can be accessed here.* If you have any questions, please contact Anne Hauer or Mark Grapentine, JD.
