The Wisconsin Medical Society has launched a new podcast for physicians, residents, medical students and others interested in health care in Wisconsin. “WisMed OnCall” will feature conversations between Society staff, physicians, legislative leaders and policymakers focused on relevant, timely health topics affecting patients and the medical profession.
“We know that our members are extremely busy and it’s important that we reach them in ways that work best for them,” said Society CEO Bud Chumbley, MD. “For some, that’s through Medigram, WMJ or other written communications, but with WisMed OnCall, they will be able to download a podcast at least twice a month and take a few minutes while they’re in the car or working out to learn more about what the Society is working on on their behalf.”
The inaugural episode features a Doctor Day 2018 wrap-up, an update on what’s happening in the state legislature and federal government and a preview of the state’s supreme court race.
The next episode, which will be available later this month, will look at Wisconsin’s medical liability environment and the long-term significance of Mayo v. Wisconsin Injured Patients and Families Compensation Fund.
