Get to know candidates for Society offices

Candidate materials from physicians seeking nominations for the positions of Wisconsin Medical Society president-elect, vice speaker of the House of Delegates; American Medical Association (AMA) delegates and alternate delegates are now available on the Society’s website.

To increase the transparency of the nomination process and to allow all members to “meet” the physicians who endeavor to serve the Society in various offices, the documents are posted here.*

The candidates are:

  • President-Elect for 2018-2019: George (Chip) Morris, MD
  • Vice Speaker of the House 2019 and 2020: Jay A. Gold, MD, JD
  • AMA Delegate (three positions)—2019 and 2020: Michael M. Miller, MD, Paul A. Wertsch, MD, Tosha B. Wetterneck, MD
  • AMA Alternate Delegate (three positions)—2019 and 2020: Barbara A. Hummel, MD, Keshni Ramnanan, MD

In accordance with Nominating Committee policies, the Committee will meet at 4 p.m. on January 26 to interview candidates and prepare a slate of nominees for the House of Delegates.
