Improve the health of the people of Wisconsin by supporting and strengthening physicians' ability to practice high-quality patient care in a changing environment.

Foundation event will honor physician leaders; register today

There’s just a week left to register for the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation Annual Fundraising Dinner and Silent Auction being held Friday, April 13, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center in Madison.

The evening will feature guest speaker David Sheff, journalist and New York Times bestselling author, who will share his story of heartbreak and hope as the father of a son addicted to drugs. In addition, the Foundation will honor several physicians for their leadership and commitment to health and the future of medicine in Wisconsin.

Molli Rolli, MD, will be sworn in as the 167th Society president, and attendees will honor the life and legacy of Pauline Jackson, MD, the Society’s first female president (1993-1994) and a champion of the Foundation’s mission.

Other physicians and medical students being honored for their outstanding contributions to health and the profession of medicine in Wisconsin are Marlene Melzer-Lange, MD, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin; Kerry Ahrens, MD, BayCare Clinic; and students Kieran McAvoy, Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW); Kaitlyn McQuistion, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health; and Zachary Shaheen, MCW.

The event also will feature a large silent auction and a special appeal to support the Foundation’s programs, initiatives and strategic priorities.

The deadline to purchase tickets is March 23. Individual tickets are $130 and are available here. For additional information or to sponsor a table, contact Henry Thompson at 608.442.3756.
