Reminder: Reference Committees are this Saturday, March 24

There is still time to register and participate in Reference Committee hearings this Saturday, March 24. The hearings, which are held to discuss resolutions and other items of business that will be considered by the Wisconsin Medical Society’s 2018 House of Delegates (HOD), begin at 9 a.m. at Society headquarters in Madison and will run consecutively.

Members who are unable to attend in person may participate and provide live remote testimony via “GoToWebinar.” Registration is required if you wish to speak. To register or learn more about the remote participation option, click here. Those who plan to participate in person do not need to register, but are asked to RSVP here to ensure an accurate lunch count.

Following the hearings, the Reference Committees will convene in closed session to draft recommendations to the HOD on the items of business before that committee. This format and timeframe is designed to provide members with more time to review Reference Committee reports prior to the Annual Meeting April 14. Reference Committee reports will be e-mailed to Delegates, Alternate Delegates and Society Officers, and made available to all members on the Society’s website no later than April 2.

Resolutions to be considered are available online through the Society’s Virtual Reference Committees.* More information and instructions are here.
