Improve the health of the people of Wisconsin by supporting and strengthening physicians' ability to practice high-quality patient care in a changing environment.

Latest WisMed OnCall asks ‘Who’s vice president of your health care?’

As Wisconsin Medical Society President in 2011-2012, George Lange, MD, FACP, made increasing awareness of the importance of advance care planning (ACP) his top priority. That focus led to the Society’s launch of Honoring Choices Wisconsin in 2012, and today thousands of individuals throughout the state have engaged in the ACP process.

In the latest episode of WisMed OnCall, host Peter Welch talks with Dr. Lange about the importance of ACP, what it involves, and why he believes everyone should talk with their family and physician about their future health care wishes.
