Council on Legislation to examine noncompete clauses in employment contracts

The agenda for the Wisconsin Medical Society Council on Legislation’s quarterly meeting includes a review of current Wisconsin law related to noncompete clauses in employment contracts and how those laws compare to other states. The Council also will hear from members of the Wisconsin Academy of Physician Assistants (WAPA) on that group’s goals for next session, which include a change in the PA-physician relationship from supervisory to collaborative, similar to what exists for advance practice nurse practitioners.

The meeting will take place at 1 p.m. tomorrow (September 14) at Society headquarters in Madison. The agenda and meeting materials can be accessed here.* If you have any questions, please contact Anne Hauer or Mark Grapentine, JD.
