In memoriam: Gregory Shove, MD

Longtime Wisconsin Medical Society member and leader Gregory A. Shove, MD, of Racine, passed away, Sunday, February 10.

During his career, Dr. Shove served as on the Society’s Board of Directors and WISMedPac Board and as a trustee and president of the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation. He also was a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American College of Physicians, a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology, a member and past president of the Wisconsin Rheumatology Association, past president of the Racine County Medical Society and many other professional and civic organizations.

Upon completing his term as the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation president in 2016, Dr. Shove was featured in this Foundation Focus newsletter article.

A celebration of Dr. Shove’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home in Racine. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from noon to 1 p.m. Read more here.
