Registration is now open for the second annual National Share the Experience (NSTE) conference, being hosted by Respecting Choices® October 23-26 in Bloomington, Minn.
Improving Person-Centered Outcomes Through Collaboration is the focus of the four-day conference, aimed at physicians and other health care professionals, advance care planning (ACP) coordinators, community volunteers, attorneys and more. Speakers will share best practices and learnings from evidence-based Respecting Choices programs that jointly collaborate by combining complementary ACP and shared decision-making programs.
The event also will feature a pre-conference workshop on October 23: Shared Decision Making in Serious Illness: Honoring Preferences During Clinical Decision Making. The four-hour program will focus on clinical decision-making in serious illness and will examine the value of a national framework for shared decision making, demonstrate the use of certified decision aids, and illustrate the importance of the interdisciplinary team in achieving the goals of person-centered care.
