Improve the health of the people of Wisconsin by supporting and strengthening physicians' ability to practice high-quality patient care in a changing environment.

Ep. 13 – BSP Free Clinic providing specialty care to patients in need

Over 100 free and charitable clinics in Wisconsin serve almost all counties in the state and provide care to more than 150,000 patients, including the Benevolent Specialists Project (BSP) Free Clinic in Middleton. BSP has provided specialty medical care at no cost to low-income patients without insurance for 16 years and has recently partnered with the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation for assistance recruiting physician volunteers and fundraising.

During the latest episode of WisMed OnCall, host Peter Welch talks with Clinic Director Tricia Levenhagen and Society CEO Bud Chumbley, MD, who volunteers at the clinic twice a month.
